Question 1
Can you help someone in my situation?

Nelson Home Group is Kansas City’s highest-rated team
Highest-rated real estate team on Google in the Kansas City metro, and ranked #1 among medium-size teams in Kansas City for homes sold in 2025 (RealTrends Verified 2026). Our first conversation is designed to answer one question: what do you actually need to make a confident decision? Send a request and we will match you with the right agent on our team.
Question 2
Why does this approach help?

- If your agent can’t make a showing, another Nelson Home Group agent covers it. You have one dedicated agent. When they are tied up at a closing or an inspection, another agent on the team shows the house with your criteria and notes in hand. You do not lose a house to a scheduling conflict.
- Tour live by video, by recording, or in person. Your call. Most relocating buyers tour on a video call and direct the camera themselves. Some want a recorded walkthrough to watch later. Some would rather fly in and see ten houses in a weekend. We do all three. Tori and Austin toured their Northland home on FaceTime from Arizona and closed without walking through it. See how it worked.
- Sign with us, and cancel anytime if we’re not delivering. Missouri and Kansas require a signed agreement before any agent can show you a home, including by video. So we make it easy: if we are not doing what we said we would, cancel. No fee, no argument.
- Your first consultation ends with a needs analysis and a search built to it. What you need, what you want, what you will not accept, and your real budget. Your alerts go live from that list, not a zip code. We also check our office’s private exclusives, homes listed with Keller Williams KC North agents that are not on the MLS yet. See a must-have list turn into a home.
- A client care manager runs your file from contract to close. Lender, title, the other agent, earnest money, inspection scheduling, brokerage compliance, and every contract deadline. Your agent stays your point of contact and negotiates. The client care manager makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. Our reviews name them.
- You hear back within 24 hours, usually within a couple. That is the team standard. If your agent is in a meeting, you still get a reply the same day.
After you close, call your agent for anything: a contractor, an insurance quote, a refinance, an opinion on a repair bid. We will connect you with the right person. That is the whole process.

Proof
What this looks like on a real file
Three buyers, three different problems. Same process.
Bought from seven time zones away
Jordan and Sarah got orders for Kansas City while stationed overseas. Katy Gaines toured homes live on video at their dinner time and her lunch break, pointed the camera at the roofline and the crawl space, and wrote the inspection terms so they had a real exit if the video had lied. They closed on a four-bedroom in Smithville in June 2026 with a VA loan and a new roof from a seller who had said no repairs.
Toured on FaceTime, closed without visiting
Tori and Austin were in Arizona. Michelle Neely walked the Northland house on FaceTime while they directed the camera, their uncle did the final walkthrough, and they closed in 2026 without walking through it first.
A handful of showings and a written list
Mike and Loree were relocating to Kansas City and could only get into town a few times. Their agent previewed homes and sent video. Within days their reactions became a written must-have list, and they bought in Blue Springs with main-level living and a lower level for their parents.
Question 4
What happens in our first conversation?

How we work, start to finish
- Talk through what you’re actually trying to accomplish — not just square footage and price.
- Check that against what’s realistically available right now in your target area.
- Finish the needs analysis and set your search up to it, with real-time alerts.
- Evaluate homes together and move fast when the right one appears.
- Once you’re under contract, your agent negotiates and your client care manager runs the details through closing.
